Christine St. Germaine White, Esq

Attorney / Community Organizer / Social Entrepreneur

Christine St. Germaine White is the modern renaissance activist. Driven by her passion for civic engagement, philanthropy and the arts, Christine works within her community creating social change that speaks to her generation, the Power Generation (formerly known as Generation X).

An upbringing in both the West Coasts Bay Area and the Southern suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia fostered a love for her people and ignited her activist spirit. Born in San Francisco, her early education ranged from school in Oakland, California to Decatur, Georgia as well as extensive dance training on both coasts. This diverse exposure to cultures, nationalities and performing influences gave her a broad perspective on the human experience as she built a foundation for her life and career.

White studied political science and dance at the all-female historically black institution, Spelman College in Georgia during the renewed self-awareness era at the break of the new millennium. As a student, White worked in and around the Hip Hop music industry in both Atlanta and New York learning and working with Dallas Austin, Island Def Jam Records, Rap-A-Lot Records and many others. After college, White founded the St. Germaine Group; a marketing company that provides innovative strategies to strengthen brand loyalty and product exposure within the urban/hip-hop marketplace.

While completing her Juris Doctorate, White expanded the work of The St. Germaine Group into the non-profit sector. As a marketing consultant for tradition non-profit organizations, White became passionate about finding innovative and relevant ways to call her peers of the Hip Hop Generation (aka "Power Generation") to service, civic participation and philanthropy. With help from her friends in the entertainment industry White initiated her first community organizing effort, a civic awareness project which focused on the voting rights of ex-felons in Georgia. The unique combination of civic education and hip-hop culture laid the foundation for the birth of the organization that would later known as the Collective Renaissance Guild, (CRG).

The CRG was initially formed as a think-tank when White invited her girlfriends to join her in a mission to develop fresh ideas for traditional community building. The think-tank quickly took action, forming a non-profit (501c3) lead by Power Generation professionals committed to developing the resources, talents and skills of the Power Generation for community development and arts patronage.

Under her leadership, CRG successfully executed in a number of ground-breaking programs that build awareness and participation of the hip hop generation in the arts, philanthropy and social service. From intergenerational dialogues on social responsibility to community service rallies and artistic tributes to service leaders, the Collective Renaissance Guild has made unparalleled contributions to the Atlanta community and the non-profit industry.

After graduating law school, White worked as a Judicial Clerk for Judge Myra Dixon of Fulton County State Court, hearing both civil and criminal cases. White later joined the law firm of Register Lett LLP where she practiced corporate, non-profit and entertainment law. Currently White serves as an Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County under the leadership of Paul Howard. In addition to managing CRG and working as an attorney, White serves as a mentor and sits on the board of Nutrition Plus Holistic Services. White lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her daughter Karma.
